The Hidden Temple Pobble 365

Sweat dripped down from my forehead as a waterfall does. Buzz
ing mosquitos swarmed around me. A dense fog came down from the clouds that disturbed my vision. Jungle vines whipped my legs leaving red marks. As I treaded on, the ever growing trees seemed to clear a path for me.

Before I knew it I was standing at a clearing. An ancient temple stood before my eyes. Freshly trimmed grass surrounded the entrance of the magnificent temple. Roots from an aged tree stretched across the antique pavement. I stared full of awe and amazement.

100 Word Challenge #27

This week our prompt was not a sentence but five words. These words were: beautiful, brown, camera, worried and hard. Enjoy!

I wiped my glasses clean to make sure I wasn’t imagining things,I wasn’t. The large beautiful brown creature gazed at my camera. It didn’t seem worried or nervous, just curious. I crawled round the cold, hard rock that blocked my perfect view of this bird. Many thoughts buzzed through my head but only one stood out “never before has an image been taken of this particular species”. I knew that if I could get just one image of this magnificent creature I would be the most respected person in Biology. My hands trembled as I reached for the button…

Minions Review

Have you ever wondered how the minions became Gru’s servants? Well this movie will answer your questions. Minions is the perfect family movie night film. The prequel of Despicable Me is one of my highlights of 2015.

This shows the beginning of the Minions lives. From serving the dinosaurs to serving to the evilest super villain, the Minions go on a daring adventure to find the most despicable master.

When Bob, Stuart and Dave journey to Britain to save their tribe they encounter the most disastrous villain; Scarlet Overkill. The minions then accidentally betray their master and end up number 1 on Scarlet’s revenge list.

100 Word Challenge #26

This weeks prompt for the 100 Word Challenge was “but how can something so tiny”. I decided to base this piece on what happened one day in class, I added a little twist to what happened though. Enjoy!

The bell rang signalling the end of the school day, kids scrambled to get out of the doors. Then suddenly a tiny grey mouse flashed then disappeared. Many students rushed to get a glimpse of the marsupial. It scurried between the table legs and chair legs, other kids were wondering where it had gone but another thought raced through my head, but how can something so tiny be so swift? Children were darting back and forth looking for the miniature creature that caused all this confusion. The teacher’s were scampering across the classroom floor searching for the pocket sized mammal.

How Much Of You Is You

Today we went on this really cool website: How Much Of Your Body Is Your Own. On this site you had to enter your date of birth, how much you weigh, your gender and how tall you are.

You then enter these details and it calculates how many times your body has done things in your whole life.

Here are a few of my results:

How much would I cost? – $1,022

How many times have I experienced a heartbeat? – 499.6 Million

How many times have I breathed? – 157 Million Times

How many times have I blinked? – 73 Million Times

How many times have I yawned? – 65,055 Times

How many times have I sneezed? – 5204 Times

How many atoms are in me? – 3.5 Octillion

How much tears have I produced? – 4L

100 Word Challenge #25

This week’s prompt for the 100 Word Challenge was “so that is why I am always last”. I enjoyed writing this piece and I hope you enjoy reading it.

“It’s not my fault I came last. I started the race with a reasonable placing, 16th. But then a herd of  African elephants ran in front of me, and then to make things worst a swarm of angry wasps began chasing me. But the problems didn’t end there, because the famous Tom Cruise walked by and the Paparazzi blocked my path and started asking for my autograph. To add to my dreadfully long list of complaints Ronald McDonald started hunting me causing me to go off course and into the forbidden woods, so that is why I am always last.”

Quote Of The Day

I chose today’s quote because it was motivating and enlightening.

Monsters University Review

This prequel of Monsters Inc is an absolute must watch. Monsters University is one of the only films that I personally would recommend viewing. This film is appropriate for everyone in the family. Follow Mike and Sully into the extraordinary adventures of university in the monster world.

When the two colleagues team up with an unexpected batch of monsters they experience a series of difficult challenges. Monsters University is a captivating and thrilling film that completes the story of Monsters Inc.

When Mike enters the Scare Games he and the gang are mocked and humiliated by Roar Omega Roar, the previous champions of the Scare Games. But by working together the team overcome the challenges and end up exceeding the goal.

I would rate this movie a 9 ½ out of 10.
This film acquires a fascinating moral: “don’t misjudge others based on appearance”.
